Important Notice: MimiDirect is a direct hire facilitation platform and is not a licensed employment agency under the Employment Agencies Act (Cap 92A) of Singapore. We do not place, recruit, or procure workers on behalf of employers or workers. All hiring decisions and employment relationships are formed directly between the employer and the foreign domestic worker (FDW).

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the MimiDirect platform (“Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

These terms apply to all visitors, employers, and helpers who access or use the Platform.

2. What MimiDirect Is

MimiDirect is an online information and matching platform that:

  • Lists profiles of foreign domestic workers available for direct hire
  • Connects Singapore-based employers with prospective FDWs for self-arranged transfers or new hires
  • Provides information and guidance on the MOM direct hire process

MimiDirect does not:

  • Act as an employment agency or recruiter
  • Guarantee employment outcomes or placements
  • Enter into employment contracts on behalf of any party
  • Hold, manage, or disburse salaries or any employment-related payments

3. MOM Compliance — Employer Responsibilities

As an employer using this Platform, you remain solely responsible for complying with all Ministry of Manpower (MOM) requirements, including but not limited to:

  • Applying for and maintaining a valid Work Permit for your FDW
  • Ensuring your FDW attends the Settling-In Programme (SIP) where required
  • Purchasing the mandatory medical insurance and personal accident insurance
  • Posting the security bond required by MOM
  • Paying the monthly FDW levy to MOM
  • Providing acceptable accommodation and rest days as required by law
  • Complying with MOM's conditions of the Work Permit at all times

MimiDirect will not be liable for any breach of MOM regulations by any employer or worker.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 21 years old to use the Platform as an employer. By using the Platform you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Misrepresent your identity or provide false information
  • Contact helpers or other users for purposes unrelated to legitimate direct hire
  • Harvest, scrape, or collect data from the Platform without authorisation
  • Upload or transmit any malicious code or interfere with the Platform's operation
  • Use the Platform to discriminate against workers in violation of Singapore law

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of MimiDirect or its content suppliers and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. MimiDirect does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any helper profile or information listed.

To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, MimiDirect shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to disputes between employers and workers, failed placements, or MOM-related penalties.

8. Modifications

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
